Raymond Goss
Chief Executive Officer and Investment Specialist
Prior to establishing Genera Capital in 2016, Raymond was the Head of Wealth Management for Investec Wealth & Investment South Africa. During his twenty-year career with Investec, he had been actively involved in the strategic initiatives of the business and initiated key international investment offerings which provided exposure to listed and private capital opportunities. He was a member of the Global Investment Strategic Group which was responsible for determining macro asset allocation and was a member of various domestic and international investment committees. He was a member elected Trustee of the Investec Group Provident Fund.

Tristin Retzlaff
Chief Investment Officer
Tristin began his career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he worked in Africa, Europe, the USA and East Asia. He then took the bold step to follow his passion in finance by joining Standard Bank for five years, in both the investment and retail banking businesses, and more recently Investec as an Investment Manager, focusing on wealth and fund management for over four years. Having taken the personal decision to move his family back to the United Kingdom, he relocated from Johannesburg, making London his new home, and joined Stenham Asset Management in 2017 where he has been integral in defining and implementing portfolios on behalf of Genera Capital. Tristin has an MBA from Harvard Business School (graduating with the Baker Scholar Award for high distinction) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (with distinction).
*Tristin is the CIO to Genera Capital’s clients and provides portfolio management services to Genera Capital, which operates as a division of Stenham Asset Management in the United Kingdom.

Adrian Saville
Investment Specialist
Adrian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (cum laude), MCom (cum laude) and a PhD (Economics) for which he was awarded the Economics Society of South Africa’s Founders Medal. He is a UNESCO laureate, a matriculant of Linacre College (Oxford) and has completed programmes in investing at New York’s Columbia University; competitive strategy at Harvard Business School in Boston; Machine Learning at Stanford; and Game Theory at the University of British Columbia. Adrian is a member of various industry bodies, including the Academy of International Business, the Strategic Management Society, Investment Analysts Society, Economic Society of South Africa, Economic History Society of Southern Africa and Manual of Ideas (Global).

Stuart Milroy
Investment Specialist
Prior to joining Genera Capital, Stuart advised high net worth families and foundations at Sanlam Private Wealth and Nedbank Private Wealth. During this time, he helped craft tailored wealth management strategies and assisted in structuring holistic portfolios. Stuart spent his early career working in London, predominantly in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch. Stuart completed his MBA at GIBS in 2015, where his dissertation explored the behavioural investment decision making process of South African entrepreneurs. He also has his Certified Financial Planners (CFP®) designation, having done his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Stuart completed his Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2012, where he finished as the top student in the country. Stuart completed his Undergraduate and Honours Degrees in Financial Analysis (BCom) at the University of Stellenbosch.

Steyn Krouse
Investment Specialist
Steyn joined Stenham Asset Management in 2018 having previously been employed with an actuarial consultancy in Amsterdam, Milliman, where he served pension funds and insurance companies, building quantitative investment and hedging systems to guide them in making informed risk balanced decisions. Over more than a decade, he has relentlessly upgraded his investment frameworks and money management systems, which has left him with a deep appreciation of the mechanics of capital preservation and compounding. Steyn’s training and education include: qualification as a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary; completion of his UK Actuary Fellowship exams with specialisation in Finance and Investment; Master Degrees in Quantitative Risk Management (Centre for BMI at the North-West University, Potchefstroom) and Corporate Finance and Banking (Duisenberg School of Finance, Amsterdam).

Alon Glassman
Chief Operating Officer
Alon studied B. Com (Honours) in Accounting at the University of Johannesburg, following which he joined Grant Thornton and completed his articles in 2015, qualifying as a CA(SA). Post articles, Alon joined Standard Bank and was involved in the Treasury and Money Market team, gaining significant experience in financial markets and controls. Alon has significant experience across the complex operational, systems and regulatory requirements required within financial services.

Tracy Thompson
Administrative Manager
Tracy studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Human Movement Science at Stellenbosch University after which she moved to London to begin a career in Investment Banking. Her 10 years in London were spent predominantly in the operations environment working for UBS and Morgan Stanley. She moved back to South Africa in 2010 where she expanded her experience into asset finance as well as project management before joining the Genera Capital team in 2020.
